Are you a family that speaks two or more languages? The Raising Multilingual Children in Sweden Lecture Series might be for you! During these presentations by a language expert, you can discuss language and education related issues such as bilingualism and literacy.
During these lectures you will hear about the balancing act that comes with speaking multiple languages in a family. You will learn about the challenges and the benefits of being bilingual.
You will learn strategies about how to maintain all the languages in the family besides Swedish and English.
You will get tips on how to maximize the limited time you can spend with each language, capitalizing on friends, family and the opportunities available in Sweden.
By the end of the lectures you will a better idea about your children’s language learning including their schooling for the short - and the long run.

About the host
Vera Angyal has over 20 years of experience as an international educator. She has been teaching in Sweden since 2016. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and Linguistics, a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and she is a certified Solution-focused BRIEF coach. She speaks four languages and has worked with dozens of international families over her career. She is an English as an Additional Language specialist teacher and has extensive knowledge about language learning, maintaining the home language, education as well as using solution-focused tools in education.
